Rockland Folk Arts will present Connecticut-based folksinger Geoff Kaufman at the Sail, Power and Steam Museum, 75 Mechanic Street in Rockland,

on Friday, July 12, at 7:30 p.m. Kaufman’s old and new maritime songs and sea chanteys evoke the days when Maine-built tall ships sailed the world’s oceans and Friendship sloops worked Penobscot Bay. He was a singing crew member of Pete Seeger’s Hudson River Sloop Clearwater and, until his retirement this year, served as a chanteyman at Mystic Seaport. Admission is $15 (cash or check only) at the door; doors open at 7 p.m. For more information, visit facebook.com/RocklandFolkArts.  Photo: Mary Hughes
