Tim Sample will return to the Camden Opera House on Saturday, March, 23, at 7 p.m. to present an evening of his trademark Maine humor. Proceeds from the show will benefit Bartlett Woods Retirement Community. Widely recognized as Maine’s foremost native humorist, Sample has brought his original Maine storytelling to a wide national audience since he released his first humor LP in 1979. His books, videos and CDs of “Down East” humor (including several on the Bert and I label) have sold over one million copies. For 11 years (1993-2004) Sample’s “Postcards from Maine” essays were broadcast to a national audience on the CBS News “Sunday Morning” show. Bartlett Woods Retirement Community, a 501(c)(3), is hosting the performance as a fundraiser for its 2019 capital campaign. This year’s endowment will go to the development of a solarium. Tickets are $18 in advance and $22 at the door. Tickets may be purchased at Bartlett Woods Retirement Community in Rockland; at the Camden Opera House box office; and online at www.camdenoperahouse.com.
