Camden-Rockport Middle School (CRMS) and Camden Hills Regional High School (CHRHS) jazz bands will host a Jazz Spaghetti Dinner on Thursday, March 21, from 6 to 7:30 p.m. in the Wave Cafe at CHRHS. Along with the bands, the Mondaynite Jazz Orchestra will perform, with featured guest Marcus Hutchins (pictured). Hutchins, a woodwind doubler who began playing saxophone in 1965 and added flute, clarinet, and the double reeds to his musical arsenal, lives in Southport and continues to play locally with the Mondaynite Jazz Orchestra. Tickets for the dinner may be purchased at the door for $8 ($4 for children under 10) or from any member of the ensembles. Proceeds will be used for the bands’ annual trip to the Clark Terry Jazz Festival at the University of New Hampshire.
