Camden Opera House’s SoundCheck series of small, safely distanced performances will feature Gordon Thomas Ward on Friday, May 7, at 7:30 p.m. Sales of advance-only tickets — $10; call 236-3154 or visit camdenoperahouse.com — end at 3:30 p.m. the day of the show. Seats, limited to 45, will be assigned on a first-come, first-served basis.

A recording artist, composer, multi-instrumentalist, podcaster and author who lives in Winter Harbor, Thomas has written songs for documentary film, historical events and celebrations and the U.S. World War I Centennial Commission. His music, influenced by singer-songwriters of the late 1960s and ’70s, has been described as indie Americana.

Doors will open at 7 p.m.; safety protocols, including wearing face coverings, will be observed. The show will also be streamed live from the opera house stage to its Facebook page at no charge; no tickets or RSVP necessary.
