Creatures of Habit will perform a benefit dance for Gary Clancy at the Rockport Opera House on Saturday, February 16. Clancy has recently been diagnosed with cancer and, due to medical complications, has been out of work for close to two years.

Most recently performing as a member of Creatures of Habit, Clancy has also taught at the University of Maine Augusta, Midcoast Music Academy, and K2 Music. His love for music has been evident from the classroom to the stage, where many people have been impacted by his passionate artistry on the guitar.

Doors open at 6 p.m.; dance goes from 7 to 10 p.m. Suggested donation is $15 per person, $25 per couple at the door. No advance tickets. Cash bar provided by Waterworks and pizza by Flatbread.

Those who can’t attend, but wish to make a donation, may send checks, payable to Gary Clancy, care of Rick Johnson, 265 Camden Road, Appleton, ME 04862, or drop off donations at Midcoast Music Academy, 279 Main Street, Rockland.
