The Camden Opera House’s SoundCheck series of safely distanced, 45-seats-only concerts in the auditorium has started to schedule shows for 2021 while preparing for two more this fall. As many of the small shows sell out, all are livestreamed free on the opera house’s Facebook page and later posted to its YouTube channel.

Up next are American roots music mandolinist and songwriter Joe K. Walsh with Grammy-nominated singer-songwriter and guitarist Celia Woodsmith on Friday, November 20.

Julia Lane and Fred Gosbee, performing as Castlebay, will present “’Tis Winter Now: Christmas in New England,” a program featuring both Colonial-era and contemporary music, poetry and stories.

January shows will include a dance performance by Kinetic Energy Alive; concerts by bluegrass duo Darlin’ Corey and local jazzman Wayne DeLano; and a literary salon reading by author Paul Doiron. The Mark Tipton Trio show has been rescheduled for April 9.

Camden Opera House doors will open at 7 p.m. for the SoundCheck series, and the one-set shows begin at 7:30 p.m. Advance-only tickets are $10, and all seats are assigned. Ticket sales end 3:30 p.m. the day of the show; to purchase, visit camdenoperahouse.com or call 236-3154 . Face coverings are required in the building.
