Bay Chamber Concerts and Music School will offer Summer Masterworks, online mini-concerts streamed on Bay Chamber’s YouTube channel, every Thursday at 7:30 p.m. from July 9 through August 13.

Concerts will be drawn from an archive of recorded Bay Chamber performances spanning decades and will feature artists and ensembles including Andrew Wolf and the Vermeer Quartet performing in the 1970s up to last year’s performance by Orion Weiss, Anthony Roth Costanzo, Geoff Nuttall and the Maxwell String Quartet. The music will be accompanied by images from Bay Chamber and Rockport archives and the work of selected Maine painters and photographers.

On Thursday, August 6, the series will feature the Jupiter String Quartet performing a concert streamed live. They will play the world premiere of a piece commissioned by Bay Chamber Concerts to mark its 60th anniversary, “To Unpathed Waters, Undreamed Shores” by Michi Wiancko, and Beethoven’s String Quartet in A minor, Op. 132.
