The Colonial Theatre in downtown Belfast will show “Between Me and My Mind,” a documentary film following Phish guitarist and frontman Trey Anastasio during preparations for the album “Ghosts of the Forest” and the band’s New Year’s Eve event, on Wednesday, July 17 at 8 p.m. The film is a one-night-only cinema event, and will show simultaneously in 400 theaters across the United States; Colonial Theatre will be the only theater north of Portland participating.

The Steven Cantor-directed film recently premiered at Beacon Theatre in New York City as part of the Tribeca Film Festival. It focuses on the creative process as Anastasio puts together his “Ghosts of the Forest” album and works with Phish on their “Soul Planet” New Year’s Eve gig.

Tickets are $12, available at the Colonial Theatre and online at eventbrite.com. For more information, email info@colonialtheatre.com or call 338-1975.
