Monmouth Community Players will present their third annual production of When Radio Was King, a trip into a 1950s live radio show, at the historic Cumston Hall in downtown Monmouth. The audience can expect to see an authentic old-time radio show, complete with vaudeville comedy routines, sketches and commercials with sound effects — just as they would experience if they were in the audience of a real radio program. Directed by Josie French, the cast is a mixture of vocal and comedic talent, ages ranging from 13 to 70-plus. The show runs February 15 to 17, Friday at 7:30 p.m.; Saturday at 2 p.m. and 7:30 p.m.; Sunday at 2 p.m. Tickets are $14, $12 for students and seniors. To order tickets, or for more information, visit www.monmouthcommunityplayers.org or call 370-9566.
