Farmers are invited to learn about the Whole Farm Revenue Protection crop insurance program prior to the March 15 enrollment deadline in a free webinar on Thursday, January 24, from noon to 1 p.m.

The webinar will use real farm examples from the Northeast that include information about the types of risks covered and the records needed to enroll, as well as an overview of the gross revenue protection program. A question-and-answer session will follow.

Speakers include crop insurance education program managers from the University of Maine, Massachusetts, Rhode Island, Vermont and Delaware Cooperative Extensions. Funding for the program is provided by the USDA Risk Management Agency Targeted States Program.

The webinar is free, but registration is required; go to https://maine.zoom.us/webinar/register/WN_lxvoY_iNTDS136yLi2lSEg. For more information, contact Erin Roche, 949-2940; erin.roche@maine.edu.
