Belfast Community Radio (BCR), the midcoast’s newest low-power radio station, is offering live programs ranging from poetry to garden advice, to music, to entertainment for children. The station, housed in the Waterfall Arts building in Belfast, is on the air 24/7 at WBFY 100.9 FM and is streamed on the internet at www.wbfy.caster.fm.

BCR’s current lineup includes:

• Poetry by the Bay, with Kristin Frangoulis (poets and their art; Thursday, 9 to 10 a.m. and Sunday, 8 to 9 a.m.)

• Farmstead Radio Show, with George Frangoulis (gardening, etc.; Wednesday, 6 to 7 p.m. and Saturday, 7 to 8 a.m.)

• Finding Common Ground, with Jennifer Hill (“talking about big issues”; Saturday, noon to 1 p.m.)

• Octopus’s Garden (kids’ show; Saturday, 8 to 10 a.m.)

• Old Time Radio Theater (Sherlock Holmes and other radio dramas; Sunday, 9 to 10 p.m.)

• Monday Morning Mix-Up, with Silas Jay (eclectic music; Monday, 8 to 10 a.m.)

• Live & Local, with Vic Tredwell (musical performance, Sunday, 6 to 8 p.m.)

• Music & Memories, with Doug (oldies and classics; Tuesday and Friday, 5 to 7 p.m.)

• Leeway, with Jim Bahoosh (upbeat world beat; Wednesday, 8 to 10 p.m.)

• The Cure, with Dr. Denn (jazz and funk; Thursday, 9 to 11 p.m.)
