Maine Organic Farmers and Gardeners Association (MOFGA) invites everyone to an Earth Day Volunteer Work Day and Tree Planting at the organization’s Common Ground Education Center in Unity on Saturday, April 22, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. 

All ages and experience levels are welcome. Volunteers will work on projects to ready the grounds for spring, including gardening, cleaning up after winter storms, and planting trees in the Maine Heritage Orchard.

The work day will take place rain or shine, so participants are asked to dress appropriately. They may want to bring work gloves and a water bottle. MOFGA will provide lunch as well as volunteer T-shirts for all participants.
