Restorative Justice Project of the Midcoast (RJP) is seeking stable, compassionate, resourceful volunteers to become mentors. A mentor training series will be held at Suite 402, University College at Rockland, 91 Camden Street (Route 1), with the first session, which doubles as an informational session, on Thursday, March 16, from 6 to 8:30 p.m., and subsequent sessions at the same time on Thursday, March 23 and April 6 and 13.

RJP is a nonprofit that seeks renewal and safety for the community, support and healing for victims, and accountability and reintegration of the offender. Mentors provide crucial guidance to juveniles and adults who are taking responsibility for causing harm by participating in RJP’s Community Resolution Program, or to residents of Maine Coast Regional Reentry Center who are seeking healthy reintegration into the community.
